Priya,
It's 1am. You're asleep. You fell asleep watching that terrible show again and I didn't have the heart to wake you because you looked so peaceful.
We've been married for 14 months. I want to tell you what I notice: You still get nervous ordering food at restaurants. You sing in the shower but only when you think I can't hear. You buy too many plants and name all of them. You hold my hand in your sleep without knowing it.
I attached a photo I took of you this morning. You were making chai and the sunlight was hitting your face and you have no idea how beautiful you looked. You'll probably say "why did you take that, I look terrible." You don't.
In ten years, we'll open this together. I don't know where we'll be. I don't know if we'll have kids, or a house, or grey hair. But I know I'll still be watching you make chai.
I love you. Even when you steal the blanket.
